Now more than ever, the Volunteer Reserve Forces are an integral and vital part of the UK's Armed Forces. Those who join can expect to be mobilised at least once in their military career. This not only demands the continued dedication and enthusiasm of our Reservists, but also the support of their partners, families and employers. INTRODUCING SaBRESaBRE (Supporting Britain’s Reservists and Employers) is an impartial Ministry of Defence (MOD) body, which provides support to members of the Volunteer Reserve Forces and their employers. The SaBRE campaign has a dual remit:

THE BENEFITS OF EMPLOYING A RESERVISTAll members of the Reserve Forces undergo rigorous training which develops valuable skills like leadership, teamwork, effective communication and organisational ability. This can lead to improved performance in the workplace, with transferable attributes that include the ability to work under pressure, reliability, self-confidence and a determination to succeed. SUPPORTIVE EMPLOYERSA large part of the SaBRE campaign is about recognising employers who are supportive of Reservist employees. If you would like to register your organisation’s support for the Volunteer Reserve Forces and receive a SaBRE certificate in recognition, please call 020 7384 4676. EMPLOYER EVENTSEvery year SaBRE runs events for employers that are designed either to inform and brief on a particular subject or to thank them for their support.
