GL RFCA is well suited to raise the recruiting profile of the Armed Forces because of our strong connections with the local community. The locations of Reserve and Cadet Centres are a permanent reminder to the local population of the military presence in society, not only for the Reserve Forces and Cadets but the Armed Forces in general.

Much of recruiting support is about raising awareness of the Reserves and Cadets. The more people know about the Reserves and Cadets, the more likely they are to recommend young people to join. We employ professional PR practitioners to showcase the activities of the Reserve Forces and Cadets throughout London. Articles and images are regularly published in local media and journalists are frequently invited to cover events. We also work closely with the Navy, Army and Air Force in London, using our experience and local knowledge to assist the recruitment process and raise awareness of the many opportunities available.

Each year we produce a series of publications, including London Bridge and Cadet London Bridge, produced twice yearly; and London’s Reserve Forces and Cadets Directory – with contact details for all Reserve and Cadets units in London.
