On 11th May, a number of London Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) will be recognised by the Lord Lieutenant for Greater London for their outstanding service to London’s Reserve and Cadet units.
The long-awaited awards celebrate and recognise the hard work of some our most dedicated and longest-serving members of the Armed Forces community in the Greater London region, with awards for CFAVs, Reserves and Cadets. Sir Ken Olisa OBE, the Lord Lieutenant for Greater London, presented the awards at an Army Reserve Training Centre in Handel Street, Bloomsbury, London.
The 2023 award categories are:
- Lord Lieutenant’s Certificate of Meritorious Service to London Cadets
Awarded to uniformed adult volunteers of the Cadet Movement for long and meritorious service.
- The Association Certificate of Commendation for Adult Instructors of London Cadets
This award is for Adult Instructors in recognition of their outstanding service and devotion to duty.
- The Association Certificate of Commendation for Civilian Instructors of London Cadets
Awarded to Civilian Instructors in recognition of their outstanding service and devotion to duty.

- Best Detachment Commanders
- Best ATC Sqn Commanders
- Best CCF Contingent Cdr
- Jubilee Sailing Trust
- ACF Citizenship Award
- Lord Lieutenant’s Cadets
- Lord Lieutenant’s Certificate of Meritorious Service to Reserves
These recognise outstanding service and devotion to duty in the service of the Reserve Forces over a considerable period.
