The Elworthy Trophy Competition 2023, an annual cadet competition, took place at CTC Frimley on Saturday, 14th October. This event brought together 12 cadet detachments and units from all around London, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their skills, teamwork, and spirit.
The competition serves as a platform for cadets to engage in a variety of activities that test their physical and mental prowess. Ranging from raft building to archery, these challenges provide an exciting and educational experience for the participating cadets.
This year’s competition was particularly memorable as 12 teams, with 14F Squadron Air Training Corps (ATC), emerged as the champions, showcasing their outstanding skills and determination. The runner-ups were the 21 Cadet Detachment from Middlesex and the North West Army Cadet Force (NW & MX Sector ACF), both of whom put in impressive performances, making it a closely contested event.
A special highlight of the Elworthy Trophy Competition 2023 was the presence of distinguished guests, adding prestige to the event. Sir Kenneth Olisa, the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, graced the occasion with his presence. He was accompanied by Air Vice-Marshal (AVM) Ranald Munro CB CBE TD DL VR.
