The Elworthy Trophy Competition 2024 took place yesterday, Sunday, 6th October, bringing twelve teams from the Greater London area and providing them with an opportunity to showcase their skills, teamwork, and spirit.
Congratulations are in order for the Air Training Corps 14F (Northolt) Squadron based in Ealing who took home the trophy for the second year in a row!
Sir Ken Olisa OBE, the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London alongside Dame Mary Richardson, Jez Lamb and John Slator handed the awards to the participants.
We thank the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths for their support.
We would also like to extend our thanks to the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry and all the Personal Support Staff that made this event possible!

What is the Elworthy Trophy?
When the late Marshal of the Royal Air Force, Lord Elworthy KG GCB CBE DSO MVO DFC AFC retired in 1978 as Lord Lieutenant of Greater London and President of the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for Greater London, he presented his own Battle of Britain Commemorative Sword as a trophy to be competed for annually by cadets of the three services within Greater London.
The competition is designed to test the skills which are included in the syllabus of each organisation, together with general physical and mental agility. The format of the competition has changed over the years and now consists of observation, teamwork, drill, first aid, on a rowing machine, archery, climbing wall, and command tasks.
