Wednesday, 22nd October, Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards 2025 took place in the Sovereigns’ Room at the Royal Air Force Club, Piccadilly honouring 10 London-based organisations.

The ERS Gold Awards are a pivotal initiative within the framework of the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) programme, aimed at fostering support for the Armed Forces community and recognising organisations making substantial contributions in this domain. The AFC programme seeks to raise awareness about the importance of supporting our service members and veterans, encouraging businesses to engage in activities that contribute to their welfare.

The 2025 Gold ERS Awards showcased the commitment of 10 organisations to supporting the Armed Forces community. These awards are a testament to their dedication to hiring, training, and championing service members and veterans. Achieving the Gold Award is a significant milestone, symbolising an organisation’s exceptional support and advocacy for the Armed Forces community and veterans’ employment. To be awarded a gold recognition from the Ministry of Defence, organisations must provide 10 extra paid days leave for Reservists, and have supportive HR policies in place for Reservists, veterans, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and the spouses and partners of those serving in the Armed Forces.

During the awards ceremony, each organisation was thoughtfully paired with a song that reflected their business function, adding a creative and fun element to the event.

The award not only distinguishes an organisation’s commitment to the Armed Forces community but also sets a strong example for other businesses to follow suit.
