Running for a second year, the HMS WILDFIRE Families Day served as a way to say thank you to the families and friends of serving Reservists at HMS WILDFIRE. The support of families and friends is critical to the outputs of the maritime reserve and this event set out to recognise this support.
Blessed with bright sunshine and set in the wonderful settings of the Merchant Taylors’ School rose garden, members of the Ship’s Company and their families were able to share an afternoon tea as well as socialise with one another. The event was also a chance to celebrate the achievements of the ship over the last year and included a series of awards where the winners had been voted for by the Ship’s Company.
This event formed part of the WILDFIRE 25 anniversary, which involve a series of events throughout 2025 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the commissioning of the Ship.
