The Reserve Forces consist of the Royal Naval Reserve, the Royal Marines Reserve, the Army Reserve, and the Royal Air Force Reserve.

Royal Naval Reserve

The Royal Naval Reserve (RNR) is an integral part of Britain’s naval forces. The RNR's involvement in protecting our nation's interests ranges from conflict operations, to counter-terrorism and anti-piracy work.

Royal Marines Reserve

The Royal Marines Reserve (RMR) is a commando trained with the primary function of reinforcing the Regular Corps on operations and exercises in the UK or overseas, contributing to a world-class Navy, ready to fight and win.

Army Reserve

The Army Reserve is the active-duty volunteer reserve force of the British Army. It is separate from the Regular Reserve whose members are ex-Regular personnel who retain a statutory liability for service.

Royal Air Force Reserves

RAF Reserves serve alongside Regulars in the UK and overseas. They get the best of both worlds by balancing their own careers and home life, with the challenge and adventure of the RAF.
